The Office of Emergency Management, EPA.
My company manufactures Spill Control products. Per the EPA, the mineral, which I blend meets the definition of a “sorbent” as specified in Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), sections 300.5 and 300. 915(g) of the National Contingency Plan (NCP). According to the EPA, White Lightning meets the definition of a sorbent and consist solely of the materials listed in section 300.915(g)(1) of the NCP. As such, we are not required to be listed on the NCP Product Schedule. White Lightning is one of a very few products, which qualifies for use in a national emergency.
